Dunno about git-svn, I usually use mercurial (never pulled from a svn
repo, though), but I'm ok with git.

Yeah, I've followed that, but maybe I've been to harsh for the cable or
I don't know... anyway, when connecting to the serial console (using cu
-l /dev/ttyUSB0), I only get garbage (mostly non-printable characters
without anything I could interpret as text...)
