[Pkg-hpijs-devel] New upstream version(s)

Hi,

I got the packages now from people.debia.org, all version 2.7.10-1. Everything
installed fine + worked great with my PSC3180. Ran hp-toolbox, used hp-setup
to set up my printer, afterwards it worked right away, esp. no permission
problems. Testpage printed fine, OOo printed fine, scanning with kooka
started from the toolbox worked instantly. Could not check the card reader,
but dmesg recognized it and showed no unusual stuff, so I don't expect any
problem there. Two minor issues I found:
1) in the toolbox, one can set the printer as default. this gives me an input
box for my password, but then tries to set it as the user who is running the
toolbox, which doesn't work (the input box comes again with no error
message). Later I set the printer to default in the cups-webinterface, which
works when entering root credentials.
2) don't remember if that was already kubuntu: in kooka I can't use a custom
gamma table. Perhaps a restriction in the driver? Not that I would need it,
but I looked out for stuff that didn't seem to work...

So, great packages! I hope they arrive in sid soon. Thanks for your work +
support,

Joost
