Hi everybody,

I tried unsuccessfully again to backport this package to etch. The compilation
and installation went fine, but with this version I simply can't print. Same
happened with earlier version from ubuntu -- 2.7.7

When I try to install my printer (HP Photosmart C4280) it gets recognized by
cups and hp configuration tool, and nothing indicates any problems. But when
it comes to printing a test page for some reason the printer won't respond.

When I use HP configuration tool, which is part of the hplip package as a root
it reports that the printer is ready, but it can't print. As a regular user
HP configuration tool reports that the printer is disconnected. Did some
permissions or group names change in this package with respect to those in
etch?

Below is a typical error message I get. This one is when I try to print test
page from KDE printer configuration tool. Any advice how to narrow down this
problem would be greatly appreciated. And, yes, I did try restarting cups and
restarting printer.

Many thanks,
Slaven
