Hi,

the whole purpose of the iso-codes package is to provide translations, so
there is no real "string freeze". The strings are mostly frozen anyway,
unless the ISO agency changes some names of countries/languages/currencies.

The TP currently requires a tarball, which they can download to extract the
POT files. It would not make much sense for us to prepare a tarball for
a "release candidate" or similar, because almost nothing in the package
changes -- except the occasional string updates, and, more importantly,
updates of translations.

We're currently releasing a new version of iso-codes roughly once a month.
So even if you've missed our last release, you can always update your
translation. We are more than happy to include your work in the next
release (not far away), then you'll be automatically up-to-date.

Does this answer your question?

Regards,
Tobias
