This is what wikipedia says, too. So I think we should apply that part of 
the patch.

Wikipedia wants us to keep the separation between name and official_name. So 
this part of the patch will be dropped as well.

Agreed, Wikipedia does refer to "Italian Republic" as well.

All in all, just the Afghanistan part should be applied, correct?
