Tobias mail wasn't about Pootle. It was about using the Translation
Project.

iso-codes is not Debian-specific (even though it is maintained by
Debian developers), so we have several translations
coming from outside the Debian world, namely the Translation
Project. This recently induced discussions with the the TP admin team
who dislike that some of our translation files are managed externally
to the TP (namely by Debian translators), therefore possibly
conflicting with the activity of some teams in the TP.

After discussing with the TP admins, we settled for us to ask each
translation contributor whether (s)he prefers working directly in our
SVN or is OK to work in the TP. Then the TP admins would mark these as
"external", therefore disabling them in the TP.

This is exactly what I personnally asked for when it comes at the
French translation files for iso-codes....:)

Actually, when Tobias asked you, Javier, I already knew the
answer...:-)
