I generally dislike all distributed VCS because of their
complexity. This is a view with my i18n hat on, though, and I
perfectly understand that people working on complex source project may
have needs that are satisfied by distributed VCS.

That's a purely personal taste, however.

And, when it comes at choosing a VCS, my personal preference goes to
git which is probably the one that can be quite easily used the same
way we use SVN when it comes at simple tasks such as updating PO files
(for which all the branching stuff is quite pointless most of the
time).
