Okay.

A tarball of the POT files and then a URL of this tarball would be
perfect.
(For normal packages the TP ask for a prerelease tarball, so
translators can look in the source for some context. But the
isocodes are contextless words, so just the POT files is okay.)

The POTs tarball could be removed as soon as the files have been
announced to the translators. The TP stores copies of the POT
files, to merge the translator's submission against, for some
rudimentary verification.

Thanks. But that would still require browsing, downloading, and
transfering each file to the TP machine. A URL of a POTs tarball
is much easier: I can grab the files with one command on the TP
server itself.
