[Pkg-isocodes-devel] Proper splitting of iso-codes repository

Hi all,

I'd like to split off the Debian part of our iso-codes git repository,
to make the separation between the Debian packaging work and the
"upstream" part clearer. In effect, there would be only the "master"
branch remaining in git.

I would create a new repository for the Debian packaging stuff, starting
with the current stable release (3.23-1), as oldstable is going to be
disabled probably very soon.

There's a test conversion of the repository online, you can see it here:
<http://git.debian.org/?p=users/toddy/iso-codes.git;a=summary>

And you can create a local clone this way:
git clone git://git.debian.org/users/toddy/iso-codes.git

Are there any objections to this?

Regards,
Tobias
