Regarding the confirmation of another iso-codes maintainer, I hope that
either Christian or Alastair (both explicitely CC'ed) can give their
blessing.

The problem is that I'm more or less the only one left for maintaining
the project ... :-)

If this helps, you can verify my signature for this e-mail and can look
up my public GPG key in the Debian keyring. So at least you can verify
that I'm really the maintainer of iso-codes.
