No, a symlink jed -> /usr/bin/xjed starts as xjed if X is running. The
shell script would unset DISPAY first so xjed starts as jed.

As jed and xjed can savely coexist, I change my opinion on conflicting to
"better not". However, we should provide clear information that generally
only one, jed or xjed is needed.

(Rafael already wrote in a recent letter, how the update-alternative
mechanism can be used to solve the issue of "xjed jed script" versus
"real jed".)
