The pt.po file that you sent to us is incomplete. It is lacking the
translation for:

  msgid ""
  "It seems you have modified one of these files, because their md5 sums "
  "differ from the originals."

Due to that, the pt translations are not added to the templates file by
po2debconf.  Unfortunately, I noticed this only after releasing
jed_0.99.18-7, which erroneously closed this bug report.  

Please, sent to us an updated file.
