I've put a symlink in the PATH

% ls -l $(which ispell)
lrwxrwxrwx 1 joerg users 15 2005-05-06 20:34 /home/joerg/bin/ispell -> /usr/bin/aspell

I've installed aspell-de.

No, I didn't have done this. This file is empty at me.

% cat /var/cache/dictionaries-common/jed-ispell-dicts.sl
%%% This file is part of the dictionaries-common package.
%%% It has been automatically generated.
%%% DO NOT EDIT!

Ahh, you are talking about the ispell mode in jed-extra. I use the
ispell mode from jed. The language change is a little bit hacky. I run
the slang command “putenv("LANG=en")”.

Bye, Jörg.
