No, it was not applied.  I just did it, as you probably noticed in
pkg-jed-commit.  Please check whether everything is okay.

On the other hand, you should realy know git.  It is not that complicated
and there are excelent docs available (see past posts from Jörg).  I learned
Mercurial and git recently, which are quite similar distributed VCS's.  It
seems that this is the current trend in the Free Software world and SVN will
become obsolete in the near future.
