I'd suggest to create only one updatefile per debian release. If this are 
multiple upstream versions, than merge them into one file. On the other side 
the logic of dbcommon understands version jumps, so you can also map every 
timebased version to an fictive debian version. But I find it much cleaner, if 
there are only versions, that were released in debian.
