Ah, OK. It works now. The problem was this setting:

PasswordAuthentication no

I had turned off PasswordAuthentication because I was only using key pairs 
to authenticate previously.

Is there a way to allow PasswordAuthentication from the internal network 
and prohibit PasswordAuthentication from a remote connection?
