Yes. Unfortunately the maintainer seems to have the opinion that who is
using lvm snapshots is an idiot. (At least that is the impression that I
had about his opinion.)

That more than one step in the right direction. I supposed some like
this but didn't had the time to search in the kernel code.

I think I will give that patch a try and backport the patches to my
current kernel. (Time horizon weekend)
