[Pkg-lyx-devel] lyx triggers?

Hi,

I just had an idea. As we know, lyx needs to reconfigure itself after certain
packages has been installed/removed. The user currently has to do this manually.
But what if we had a file, say /var/lib/lyx/stamp, and a trigger which touched
the file when an interesting package has been installed (like a file in
/usr/share/texmf). Then lyx could read the timestamp and reconfigure itself if
it has been touched since last configuration.

What do you think?
