thanks for your explanations and comments.
OK, I agree with you and most of all I'm thankful for responding so fast and
pointing me to the unstable version, which solved the problem for me. I
should have a look at the changes done to come up with a discussion on the
issue, but no time for now.
The only question still open is why the QT got upgraded then, if not all
related bugs got solved, because this seems to be the trigger for the
trouble.
Well, finally, as you said that's what testing is good for.
In general I'm aware of the "danger" so I do a complete system backup and
upgrade afterwards ;-) once a month. It works for me as a safe way to profit
from testing.
