Well mess is relative but after all it's not Debian/stable and not cool
to brake testing but sometimes shit happens.

At the time we uploaded 1.5.4 we were not aware of the fact that 1.5.4 won't
work with Qt 4.4. I'm not sure if a Debian package in experimental of Qt 4.4
existed at that time.

So going with a static Qt version would only create hassle for the release
team when they need to do transitions.
