A couple questions about current status

I could not tell you. Both those packages are in the NEW queue[0], which
means they need to be reviewed by the FTP masters and then either
accepted or declined. Therefore, the timeframe for them to be accepted
could be hours, days, or even weeks. It simply depends on how busy the
ftp-masters are.

You can clone the package's bzr repository and build a package from there:
