[Pkg-mc-devel] Bug#499714: mc: warning messages while changing directory

While changing directories in mc, i get the warning "Cannot change to /etc"
/etc is just an axample, i get this message whereever i want to change to (/var, /home, and so on)

I removed ~/.mc, purged mc and reinstalled it, but without success.
I did a trace, and found this here:
