Right, that's why maybe if you share the workload with Maarten you will

Yeah ok it could always have been even worse... Two years ago I hardly
managed to get the bug count below 40 after the package have been
unmaintained for years and here we are at 60+ again :-(

And yeah, another idea: also maybe you can replace raster icons with the
render from svg and change all names to midnight-commander for
consistency (mc is too short to avoid conflicts, I'm afraid)...

I am or rather I used to be, but I'm very much in trouble now.

I could hardly make time to invest in replying to these e-mails and only
because I feel very much obligated to at least provide some help in
updating the package since I have been inactive for a very long time...

Well there have been a debate re. of how much GNU is in GNU mc, since
the last FSF member has left the project long time ago and the copyright
assignment procedures haven't been followed for even longer...

But ok, let's keep it for later, right now the top priority is to bring
the package up to date and push it out.
