Hi Andreas,

That's weird... 
If your keyboard is connected through USB, does reconnecting fixes the issue?

I'm with you, statistically we could suspect MC but perhaps X involved even 
more to your case (gdm3/X restart helps because X re-initialise keyboard).

Could it be a problem with terminal application, whatever you're using?
