I just had a look at number of opened bugs against bash - given the situation 
I doubt they could help anytime soon unless we're really lucky. 
Perhaps we need to find out a bit more about this problem. 
I can't express what specifically is so different between cd commands as 
executed by different shells and how it is affecting MC. 
I have a feeling the problem might be on MC side, but I can't confirm if it's 
true.
