Yury mentioned three problems so we need more patches for 4.8.16.

Same here. I like new but I'm concerned for potential disruption.
I very much rely on MC and I have no time to deal with breakage right now.

I'd like to wait for 4.8.17 but I'm OK if you want to upload 4.8.16 to 
"experimental".
