I am not against adding extensions which are not versioned in principle. I am 
just worried about the work needed to keep them up to date.

The svn idea is feasible, it could be a speperate directory in the debian's 
pkg-mediawiki svn. However, it would still require to update them.

Anyway, if you think you can maintain them, feel free to add a upstream/ or 
whatever directory at the root and use this url in the svn-urls file..
