True, but: we could set up an svn repository exactly for the
*upstream* (i.e. unmodified) versions of such code that comes
from CVS (GraphViz), Web- or Wikipages (RSS_Reader). Then, the
packaging would still be done by Romain (or whoever else helps
with it) but the other svn can be kept up to date by volunteers.

I’m sure I could even get company ressources allocated to do
that occasionally.

Where that second svn is doesn’t really matter much, it should
be separate from the pkg-mediawiki svn repo though (where is
that, anyway?) but it could live on Alioth I suppose, or on
my company’s FF platform (evolvis.org).

What do you think? (You’d only package, others keep it updated.)

I’ve started adding extensions to your package now, but I’ve
already run into two which are not versioned, and it’s likely
there will be more.
