Thanks! The analysis was indeed correct, but the fix
introduced the issue my coworkers are having. I’ve
added a patch to that bug, for discussion, and, if
nobody complains, will upload to Debian after some days.

Pointing out this bug helped save me a lot of time trying
to figure out where the problem comes from, thanks!
