This is wrong. Use this:

apt-get install --no-install-recommends mediawiki-extensions-confirmedit

Actually, texlive-latex-extra is now a Depends of mediawiki-math-texvc
because it does not work without. But mediawiki-extensions-confirmedit
should not pull that in (given --no-install-recommends of course, I
recommend (pun intended) to not run any Debian system without it).
