I don't think libgl1-mesa-swrast is very accurate; AFAIK it actually
uses X11 (but not GLX), so something like libgl1-mesa-x11 maybe?

The drivers aren't directly tied to the libgl1 virtual package (the long
term plan is to use them in the X server as well to provide accelerated
indirect rendering), something like mesa-(dri-)drivers might be better.

This line of reason makes sense to me, but then why not call it
something like libgl1-mesa-glx?
