Mirco is working on monodoc. Ask him on the weekend (IRC channel:

Not really. I have run dh_make once on it, it creates almost useable
templates. They need to be cleaned, all the metawork needs to be done.
Important thing that needs to be clarified: what happens with the ABI -
until it is clear, the shlibs file should refer to the exact package
version.

The other important issue is libcairo, I still got no answer Dave. With
libcairo I see the same potential ABI problems coming.

In the good old times, people sent code first and asked for getting
extra permissions later... 

You can do most things with anonymous Subversion checkout.
