Isn't there anyway to back out?
I.e., don't leave a broken version at the "head" of Debain.
Can't you make a version 15....A that is just really the last working 14?

I mean just don't let
$ aptitude install chromium
give and unusable version for day after day?

Yes the user can do aptitude forbid-version but can't something
temporarily be done at the Developer's end?
