Since iceweasel's build system is rather complicated, the right
location to add this flag was not obvious to me.

That is, what I did in the meantime.

Indeed, the build on jessie works fine.

My remaining cocern is the way the binary packages for wheezy got
build. I always thought, that I am able to rebuild every package from
source, and I did so many times. Iceweasel on wheezy was the first
package from the official debian repository that refused to build.
I'm wondering what happened to the build system, so that the iceweasel
maintainers were able to build the binary packages, but I was not.

Anyway, thanks for your reply. I had not much hope left after six
months, and wheezy becoming LTS by that time.
