Modem is completly different. No phonet and no cmtspeechdata.
Modem gets audio data via PCM as far as I can see, so simple
GSM voice can be done by correctly configuring the sound
modules in ALSA.

You can see in the diagram, that peripherals are partly the same,
but mostly different (newer/with more features).

Neo900 is closer to N900 than just a random device with keyboard +
resistive display. But yes, they will need other kernel drivers.
Anyways - proper userspace software is definitely a problem for
both projects. Maybe some application from Ubuntu Phone could be
used (I never looked at their applications, so it may not be
possible easily).
