Package: ntpdate
Version: 1:4.2.2+dfsg.2-2
Severity: normal

running

/etc/init.d/ntpdate start

reports

sed: can't read /etc/ntp.conf: No such file or directory

This is because the file /etc/ntp.conf is not installed and is
not part of the ntpdate package. The sed command is run in

/etc/defaults/ntpdate
