But NX already IS a fork of Xorg. What we need is not a fork of the
fork, but a merge back into the Xorg codebase, where the stuff belongs
and can be maintained.

Thus, the TODO should begin with:

Step 1: find an "X protocol"/"Xorg guts" guru, who has willingness to
work on it and ability to integrate nx-x11 properly into the Xorg
codebase.

Note that this means a real guru, as in a hacker who is intimately
familiar with how X works _internally_.

The last time I heard _an_ X guru (Keith Packard during a DebConf talk)
being asked about integrating NX, his answer was something like "Oh,
they seem to be doing fine in their nomachine sandbox, why integrate NX
into Xorg? Next question please."
