Looks good.  Since you have already experience in this area, could you
please go ahead with the creation of the repository?  Please, tell us if
there are things that we should absolutely avoid doing.

Yes, this is a good idea, let us adopt this scheme.  In version 2.1.64-2 of
octave2.1 I did not follow it and Lintian complained about non-documented
NMU.
