Is this magic actually useful for epstk? If I understand the script
correctly, it assures that the package gets a depends on at least the
version of octave that was used to compile it. 
But as we don't compile it (=epstk) and it seems to work, we might be
better of with a Depends: octave2.1 | octave2.9.

Upstream might be able to verify that epstk works with 2.9, but I don't
expect a quick answer.
