Becausethe bug tracking system provides an organised way to post a bug
and follow its development, so it is easy to see if it is still open,
closed and so on.
Additionally, I use M-x debian bug, which is fast for me and provides
all the necessary details automatically.
In summary, there is a bug reporting framework that is working and easy
to use.

As far as I know, it is not much work for them, and the advantages
outweigh the drawbacks. Am I wrong? If that is the case, I'll try to
change my habits.
