Yes I would have don that if I knew how! Any pointers for mass-filing?

Yes I saw the mess about the jpeg transition. However, as things are now
with libjpeg6b (6b-16.1) it might be possible to upgrade the
octave-forge packages to libhdf5-*-1.8.4 so they can be used together
with octave-3.2.4. The current situation is not very nice.
