Indeed, same effect with 1.2.5-1.

It's reproducible on i386 when linking with Fortran. (In debian/rules,
add "--enable-fortran" to COMMON_CONFIG_PARAMS, and remove the
conditional around the "export F77" line.) I don't have access to an
amd64 machine, but I assume it'll give the same result.
Incidentally, the 3.3.2-3 release of GROMACS introduced a bug that
causes a double build when using dpkg-buildpackage/sbuild/etc., though
it doesn't matter if you're only running tests with the "build-openmpi"
target. If you're building a full set of packages before -4 (or 3.3.3,
whichever gets uploaded first), save time with the fix from svn:
