Of course, this new upstream version 1.4.4 must be uploaded *after* the
1.4.2-2 and i believed that it is already in testing since some days,
sorry.

We can wait the freeze before uploading 1.4.4-1 into unstable.

After looking on this bug i realize that the package is quite
"old" (particularly the debian/rules), this why i propose such
improvment for next upload. I switch to cdbs because many pear php
packages are build from dh-make-php but i'm not attached to this.

Sorry for the delay and thanks one more time for fixing the issue with
php-pear.

No issue in the current testing, after de rewrite of debian/rules, i
have bumped debhelper compatibility from 5 to 7 (i forgot to do this in
1.4.2-1) and bumped Standards-Version to 3.9.1 (with no other
consequence on the package).
