Thank you, guys. Now all of my standbys cannot start with "recovery.conf
file found in config directory".

Is it joke? This is not funny.

I deploy recovery.conf by puppet into /etc and symlink it from data dir.
Why do you think what this is wrong? Why I cannot do this?

This approach work perfectly for five years and now you broke it.

I think you must fix it back.
