[Pkg-rrfw-general] Beta RRFW Debian packages available for testing

Hello,

[If you are receiving this message while not subscribed to the
pkg-rrfw-general mailing list, then at some point in time you probably
expressed interest in RRFW Debian packages. In this case this is a one
time only message, to receive further news on RRFW packaging please subscribe
to the pkg-rrfw-general list [0].]

The beta versions of the RRFW packages (version 0.1.6) are now available
for download. At this point I believe that only minor things (such as
incorrect directory locations mentioned in documentation) and lack of
support for Apache 2.x (see below) make it beta quality. All the core
functionality is there (unless I forgot something), packages are
lintian-clean, and independent testing would be greatly appreciated! To
get access to the packages simply add the following line(s) to your list
of apt sources:

deb http://pkg-rrfw.alioth.debian.org/debian unstable main
deb-src http://pkg-rrfw.alioth.debian.org/debian unstable main

Due to the limitations of the dependency system I had to split the package
into 3 parts: rrfw-common (core package), rrfw-apache (support for Apache
1.x) and rrfw-apache2 (support for Apache 2.x). The latter package is
currently non-functional (and not provided in the repository) due to the
dependency on Apache::ParseFormData module, which is not yet packaged. I
have filed an RFP bug for it [1], but it looks like I'll have to package
it myself.

Please try it out and send your feedback to pkg-rrfw-general mailing list.
This is my first experience in Debian packaging, so do not hesitate to use
a cluebat if appropriate :-).
