Yes, it's my experience as a user that sometimes packages may not get
into the distributions (quick enough) for various reasons. Would it be
possible to have it, unofficial of course, in some places like a debian
maintainer's personal repository or launchpad ppa so that both debian
and ubuntu users can just apt-get it. I for one would be happy to try
them out.
