[Pkg-scicomp-devel] Pkg-config and numerical libraries

Hi,

I've been writing a few things using numerical libraries, and
pkg-config seems to be a good way to keep building portable (I'm
not using C, but Haskell).

Do you think it could be possible to add pkg-config .pc files to
numerical libraries in debian? I was going to write one for lapack
and submit as a sugestion for lapack package maintainer, but
then I thought: what if it were made standard for all numerical
libraries to have proper pkg-config configuration?
