Review of my work on the team (asking feedback)

Hello *

>I'm contributing to the team since before becoming DM (and to Debian* since March 2016), and i'm planning to apply for DD until March.
>I would like to ask two things:

>Is there anyone who would sponsor me for DD? (I know Gianfranco probably will, as he already gave me some hints on how to improve my work).

Becoming a DD is a big step for a Maintainer, and for this reason I prefer to be sure about the person in question:
e.g. having DM almost gives you all the capabilities to maintain your own pet packages, without having need to seek for a sponsor.
Being a DD means a broader way on Debian, about QA uploads, NMU uploads, reviewing mentors work and sponsor packages to newcomers.

This is what makes Debian great, people helping each other.
So, if you want to do the jump, I would really appreciate to see some additional work before clicking the "Advocate button" :)

- Review some ITP packages on mentors RFS queue
(you can own the RFS bug, check for copyright/issues, and ask me to review/sponsor it when you think the package is ready/useful)

- Review some other kind of packages on mentors RFS queue

Additional Bonus points:
- Fix some RC bugs for Stretch :)
- Help some decrufting of old libraries, or help in finishing open transitions
- Fix some orphaned packages (some of them deserve care)

>Is there something i've been doing wrong, or something i should be doing, in order to deserve your sponsorship? I'm basically asking for feedback for my work, >because 1) i want to apply for DD. 2) i want to continue working on pkg-security and there are experienced DDs here, so your feedback is very appreciated.
>I have chosen March 2016 because i will have been packaging on Debian for 1 year. Of course i would like to apply before that**, but i can only do it when i get 2 >sponsors, and consequently be able to prove that i have the skill needed.

to me, if you can show me your packaging skills and copyright skill by reviewing some packages outside this team it would be great
(because you already showed a lot of nice activity here, but Debian is not pkg-security, and I like to see people looking also outside)

having another Advocate would be great indeed :)

>* At least with packaging, my involvement on the Debian community dates from 2012
>1) I want to work with LTS, because that would make my college life easier at the same time as i would be doing something i like as a "job".

nice :)

>2) I want to apply for a GSOC Debian project, and being a DD would make it a lot easier for me.

nice^2

At the end, I don't think I ever had to nitpick on your work, the quality is already excellent and you proved your skills here already multiple times
>Thanks, and a happy new year.

thanks for your great work, and happy new year too!
G.
