The new version of the SILC Client is now available!  The source package
of the software is available from the following sources:

           http://silcnet.org/
           ftp://ftp.silcnet.org/

This maintenance release fixes over 20 bugs, most of them security fixes 
so upgrading is strong recommended.  This release also includes a new 
scheduler handling in the client that is easier on the laptop batteries. 
Your client doesn't anymore drain your laptop batteries.

This version also removes the old --enable-silc-plugin option and 
introduces new --with-silc-plugin option.  Please, read the README.PLUGIN 
if you want to compile SILC Plugin for Irssi, instead of the standlone 
SILC Client.

o Fixed crash in /QUIT while transferring a file

o Fixed /ATTR crash dealing with MIME messages

Installation
------------

The source package is compiled and installed as instructed in the INSTALL
file found from the package.  Quick installation:

    ./configure
    make
    make install
