[Pkg-sql-ledger-discussion] [Ledger-smb-devel] Debian Lenny scripts to install trunk

Hey Thomas,

I'm including the Debian Alioth team on this reply since someone else
might be interested in taking advantage of your scripts.

Naturally we'll be creating a 1.3 .deb once it goes stable - but there
is also the option of doing it now (I just don't have the time!) would
you be interested in working on this? It would primarily consist of
learning a bit about Debian packaging to obsolete the need for your
scripts.

I'm quite sure this could be completely replaced by debian/control -
unless there are perl modules that aren't included in Debian required
for 1.3? If there are perl modules required for Debian that haven't
been packaged yet we should get a list so we can start packaging them
now in preparation for the release.

We'd like to start using dbconfig-common for this - it's something
that not even our 1.2.15-2 release has and I haven't had time to
develop.

There is an auto-configuration tool for .deb packages to configure
apache2 (and helpfully, ledgersmb only supports apache2 so no need for
tricky backwards compatibility with apache 1.3
